The interview process was pretty standard, not overly friendly but not rude either. They asked some questions about my background and mostly about my work. A lot of the questions focused on testing and evaluating performance.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Cleo's interview process is quite backwards. They focus on culture fit first, rather than technical skills, which I think is reflected in their product not offering much value to users. The interview should be about what a candidate can bring and what Cleo can learn, not just strict adherence to engineering principles. I even pointed out ways to improve their AI, which I thought might help me advance, but they seem to value 'passion' over genuine improvement. I'm annoyed they rejected me for what I feel are dumb reasons regarding engineering principles. Honestly, it's probably best to avoid a company that prioritizes sounding cool over building something substantial.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was pretty standard. They asked about my past work history, specifically why I left previous roles, and about my strengths and weaknesses. I was also questioned on my knowledge of the company. Additionally, I had to provide an example of a challenging situation I encountered and how I resolved it. The interview went well overall, and I received a job offer the same day. It was a great place to work.
