I sent in my application online and got a response in about 4 days. The whole thing had three parts to it: first, a chat with the recruiter, then a 45-minute technical interview with the hiring manager, and finally a 2-hour 'loop' where I met with three people from the team. Oh, and I also had to do a short 2-slide presentation about a past campaign.

I got the interview a week after I applied. The interviewer was really nice and made it feel like a conversation. They asked me some basic questions and I made sure to have my answers ready for the application questions since they asked about those too. They interviewed me and then explained the job after. It lasted about 30 to 45 minutes.

It was pretty laid back but still professional. They asked me to go through my portfolio and then asked me some questions about where I see myself career-wise and about my previous work history. Everyone there was super nice and made me feel welcome. They also gave me a tour of the place and introduced me to everyone else working there.

Started with a phone interview with the hiring manager which was good. Then had a zoom/skype call with the hiring manager and a university leader. Finally, went for an in person interview with the whole department team and other leaders. Had to prepare and present a data exercise during this last interview. It was a good experience and I was impressed with everyone I met, especially the hiring manager who was intelligent, professional, and kind. I felt I probably wasn't getting the job though. Overall, the interview process at Clemson University was nice and professional.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Questions about my experience were covered throughout the entire process.
  • A Data Exercise that I had to complete and present during the in person interview.
