A recruiter from Clearsulting contacted me about the role and arranged an initial interview with the hiring manager. Following that, I had a second interview with a Director and a third interview with the practice head.

The whole process took about 3 months which was a bit slow even for HR these days. There were about 3-4 stages. I had an initial chat with the HR person, who was nice. The interviews with the Project Directors after that were okay, but sometimes weird. One director asked me directly if I would leave if I got the job, even though the offer hadn't been made yet. This felt unprofessional. I was rejected because of a lack of financial experience, even though they knew that from my CV and earlier stages. I do have some knowledge of financial instruments, but that was apparently overlooked. The HR person kept checking in to see if I was still interested after each interview. It felt like they had doubts about my interest from the beginning, which made going through so many stages confusing. The organization felt a bit unstructured and left me with more questions about the culture than answers.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was super chill and easy. It was mostly behavioral questions, felt like a chat. I had two interviews back-to-back with a senior analyst and a manager, which was cool. I was waiting to hear back from them because I had another offer from a big IB firm, and I asked for an extension to reply to that one so they could let me know about their offer. They scheduled a call just to say they couldn't hire me then. Total waste of time, could have just been an email. Seemed like a good place culture-wise, but after how they handled it, I think I dodged a bullet.
