First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ClearSource.
Technical Support Specialist
So, I interviewed for the Solar Performance Diagnostics Technician job at ClearSource. It was kind of a mess, honestly. There were two interviews and two exams. The last step was a panel with two managers and an SME. They grilled me on my background, solar stuff, and industry knowledge. After that, the recruiter told me I passed, but I was put on 'buffer status' because they didn't have any open spots. Basically, I'd only get the job if someone else flaked. I waited around for like 3 weeks, emailing for updates but got nothing. Then I got a rejection email. It was super confusing since they said I passed. The whole thing felt sketchy and like a waste of my time.
- Could you list the components of a solar system and explain your familiarity with the solar industry?
- Do you have any personal or work-related situations that might prevent you from working with us?
PV Technician
The interviewers were not professional and did not care about the schedule they provided. I was supposed to have a second interview, but no one called. When I emailed them, they arranged the next interview. I had to cancel my other commitments and waited for their supposed calls which never happened.
- Can you introduce yourself and tell me about the job description?
- Can you tell me more about yourself, your experience, and qualifications?
Customer Service Technician
it was a long process but they hired me fast. I got a call to schedule an interview and it was for the same day. I got the job the very next day. The interview was not hard, but they asked a lot of questions about situations and I had to explain them. The interviewer was on time and very professional.
- Can you share an instance of a goal you had that you were unable to achieve, and explain the reasons behind it?
Customer Service Representative
The interview itself was straightforward, but due to a large number of applicants for the remote position, I wasn't selected. I had a good conversation with the hiring manager; they were very upfront and provided a lot of details about the job. It was insightful to learn more about the company.
- Can you share an instance where you delivered exceptional customer service?
