First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clearsight Advisors.
Administrative Assistant
They put me through 6 rounds of interviews and then ghosted me. It's disappointing to be left hanging after such an arduous process, especially by a small company that postures as “people centered.”
- What is your motivation for wanting to join this company?
Digital Marketing Coordinator
Honestly, the interview process felt super unprofessional. They scheduled a 30-minute Teams call (which was the first and only round) and said I'd get an update on next steps by the end of the week. But then, nothing. I was totally ghosted and never heard back. I know it's a small company, but I really think it's pretty rude to not follow up with candidates after a video chat. It's like basic decency is missing. The interview itself wasn't too hard, pretty average.
- Can you share something about yourself that isn't listed on your resume?
Intern
I had a pretty simple technical interview about company valuation, 3 main financial statements and how they connect, and then 5 behavioral interviews where they asked things like tell us about you, tell me about a challenge you faced and how you overcame it, etc.
- Which single financial statement would you prioritize and explain your reasoning?
- Could you describe the three primary financial statements and their interrelationships?
- How do you approach valuing a company?
Investment Banking Analyst
First, there was a 30-minute on-campus interview with 2 interviewers. Then, the Superday in Tysons Corner, which included six 30-minute 2:1 interviews over 3 hours. Breakfast and lunch were provided. The team was very nice, and each interview focused on a different company value, like integrity, intellectual curiosity, or life goals. One interview was purely technical, while the others were more about assessing cultural fit. The Managing Directors were very approachable, and those conversations were the best part.
- Can you explain the main line items on the three financial statements?
- Describe the impact of $10 in depreciation on the three financial statements.
- Please walk me through a Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis.
