First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clear Vision Communications.
Business Associate
I first talked to the hiring manager and then was supposed to do a prerecorded interview, but it apparently didn't send through so I had to do it again. I've been trying to reach them but they aren't responding to my emails, voicemails, texts, or calls. I was really excited about this company but now I'm not sure.
- What are your three greatest strengths or weaknesses?
- Can you briefly describe your leadership experience or, if you don't have any, what qualities you possess that indicate you could be a good leader?
Account Executive
I wasn't sure what I needed for an internship, so I applied for the account executive position. Stephen wanted to hire me, but then I found out it wouldn't work for my internship credit, which I needed to graduate. After talking to the director of operations, Theresa, they decided they could use me in a brand management role, working with Christina, the current brand manager.
- What business would you start if you could, and what's your reasoning?
B2B Sales and Marketing
The interview has three stages. The first stage is a conversation with the hiring manager. If you pass this stage, you will shadow an account executive and participate in a day of door-to-door sales. During this day, your ability to build customer relationships will be assessed. Essentially, they are looking for salespeople. If you are passionate about direct selling, this role is for you. If you aim to build a career in a traditional Marketing Firm, you should avoid this position.
- What motivated your application for this role?
- Can you share any experiences where you demonstrated leadership?
Account Manager
First you have a phone interview, then they bring you in for a full day with an employee. They said it wasn't a sales job, but it turned out to be exactly that, going door to door to sell a service. After the day, there's a wrap-up interview with the manager. The manager said they don't like sales, just making money. Overall, it's a sales job. Don't bother with the second interview if you don't like going door to door.
- How would you go about selling a product?
