First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clear Start Tax.
Sales Representative
It was a simple interview that mostly asked questions not related to qualifications, which made me feel like it was a mass hiring process that didn't prepare me for what the job actually entails. The job itself demands more "intensity" and "aggressiveness," making me question the value of the product they're selling and the quality of their leads. The focus is on monetary rewards rather than professional development.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for an over-the-phone sales role?
Sales Representative
The interview process was very clear and straightforward. I sat down in a conference room and was offered coffee while I waited to be interviewed. The office is very nice and clean. I liked the atmosphere based off what I observed during the tour. I look forward to working at this company.
- What are your goals?
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
Sales Associate
They bring you in, and after the interview, they give you a tour and introduce you to the team. Then they start discussing salary and your potential start date if they think you're a good fit. It seemed almost too good to be true, and if you try to negotiate, they stick to the initial agreement.
- What is your experience duration in this field?
Tax Associate
They really sold me on the role and even threw in some unexpected offers. But the very next day, poof! Gone. No replies to any of my messages or texts, even though they told me when to start. I don't have anything to hide, so no personal info was given for a background check. It was just really weird and unprofessional.
