Customer Implementation Specialist
The interview process was very transparent. They were timely and communicative, and they even gave us an interview guide so we knew what to expect and why each part was important. First, there was a Hiring Manager Screening where they asked general questions about my experience. Then, a Take Home Assignment involved creating a tutorial video, creating an assignment, answering a question about collaboration, and drafting an email response for a scenario. Finally, there was an Onsite (Virtual) Interview covering values, the product, and collaboration.

Digital and Social Media Specialist
I applied online and got contacted the next day to schedule an interview. The interview was almost two weeks later, partly because of the Labor Day holiday. I spoke with the recruiter and the hiring manager. Neither of them had worked in Education before. The questions were structured and not really behavioral. Even though I gave STAR answers and am very qualified, I was already thinking about withdrawing my application after the interview. This is because, even though it's an EdTech company that grew because teachers love it, neither interviewer expressed their love for teachers and school staff. They acknowledged teachers are responsible for their own growth, but showed no understanding, empathy, or context for engaging their teacher-led community, and seemed to misunderstand their audience. It's clear their goal is to be as profitable as possible, which is fine for any company, but it was hard to go through the interview without hearing anything about the importance of teachers and students. After the interview, I sent a personalized thank you to both the hiring manager and recruiter. The hiring manager thanked me for my time promptly. This morning, I got a generic rejection email. Also, several times I received emails from this company with grammar and spelling mistakes. I wish Classkick all the best.
- Tell me what you're looking for in a supervisor?
- Why do you think other EdTech companies fail?
- What metrics are important?
Customer Success Associate
The whole interview process dragged on for about 7 weeks. All the emails I got from them were sent late at night and felt really unprofessional. I had to keep chasing them to find out what was happening next because they were super unclear about timelines. The worst part was they said they'd give me a final decision by 5 PM on a Thursday, and then they just didn't. They finally called me at 4 PM on Friday to say they'd chosen someone else. Honestly, I'm kinda glad I didn't get an offer because it was obvious from how poorly everything was managed that the company had issues from the top down.

Software Engineer
I applied through Indeed and they told me they don't normally accept applications that way but they'd make an exception if I could prove I was serious by tailoring my resume. After not hearing back and nudging them, I got a 5-hour take-home assignment. It was a vague application design exercise with unclear scope and deliverables. I asked clarifying questions, but they just told me to 'use my best judgement.' After submitting it and waiting a week, I finally heard back that my assignment was rejected because they expected specific low-level details like database schemas and API contracts, which were never mentioned in the requirements. It was frustrating to waste 5+ hours on a poorly-designed exercise before even talking to anyone, with no recruiter call or chance to discuss my approach to the open-ended assignment. They expected a lot from me with no effort on their part to conduct a proper interview. It felt disrespectful of my time and effort, but I guess I dodged a bullet.
