The interview process was respectful and informal. It involved meeting with team members to get a better understanding of the role. It probably would have gotten more formal if I had continued, but they ended up hiring someone internal. They had major growth plans.

Behavioral Presentation

The hiring process spanned over three weeks. I went through several interview rounds, culminating in a final presentation that I felt was well-prepared and impactful. Both the hiring manager and the recruiter gave me the impression I was a strong candidate. However, after weeks of interviewing and preparation, I was never officially notified about not getting the job. I found out indirectly when an employee made an announcement on LinkedIn and then told me she had been hired. It was a really disheartening and opaque process. It also felt like a missed opportunity for diversity, as a person of color, and it seemed they did not hire a person of color.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

There were three rounds that I went through. First with a recruiter (who was 30 mins late to our 30 min call). Second with some product leader at the company (who was 5 mins late and made me stay an extra 30 mins after our allotted time was up). He gave me a homework assignment for the weekend, which was relatively easy. Last round was a panel with a bunch of people (who were 10 mins late) - and the plan changed literally on the call. The people who showed up to interview me were not who I was told I would be interviewing with. Additionally, I was told there would be two panels, but halfway through the first panel told me they would be rescheduling the second panel. Less than 30 mins after getting off the call, I get a rejection email. Very poor interview experience - interviewing is a two-way street. If you are consistently late to every round of the interview, it does not impress. I was not impressed with Class, which is unfortunate, because I think they have a cool niche.

Behavioral Technical

The entire interview process lasted approximately 4 weeks, beginning with the initial HR interview and concluding with a final interview with one of the VPs. Everyone I met seemed very pleasant and genuinely interested. Unfortunately, after the fourth interview with a VP, I never heard back from the company. Upon checking LinkedIn, I noticed the position had already been filled. It was quite disappointing not to receive any communication, especially from a startup/small company, which is the minimum expected for candidates who invested significant time in the interview process.
