I talked to three people to try and schedule interviews. They asked for my availability for two weeks, and after I gave it to them, they scheduled an interview with less than 24 hours notice. I asked to reschedule and gave them my new availability, but they again scheduled an interview with less than 24 hours notice. I declined to interview and didn't hear back. It seems unprofessional. Also, I heard two data scientists left recently.

The interview process consisted of multiple rounds, starting with a preliminary call, followed by meetings with two executives, one of whom is the potential direct supervisor. Subsequently, a case study related to the job responsibilities was provided via email. The process concluded with a presentation of this case study to internal executives and the finance department. Overall, it was a really good experience; everyone was friendly and interested in my skills and personality. Cultural fit seemed important, with a focus on teamwork and support. The whole thing took about three weeks from applying to getting an offer, which felt like a typical timeline. I liked how thorough it was and it gave me a good feel for the company's values.

The interview process was pretty involved and took a while, but it's designed to be a good fit for both the company and the candidate. It starts with a phone screen with HR to discuss your resume, career goals, and get to know you a bit. Next, there's a coding challenge that's not too difficult and should be manageable within 1-2 hours. Following that, you'll interview with a member of the data science team. The final and most significant part is a more involved and somewhat open-ended take-home assignment that requires about 6-12 hours to complete, likely offering a learning opportunity. After submitting this assignment, you'll present your findings to a mixed group, including non-technical members.

I found out about Stride from a classmate and then I applied. First, I had a screening call with the Director of Brand Marketing. After that, they sent me a case study to complete. The case study was pretty cool because the questions had a lot of different parts. Then I had to present the case study to a mix of people from different teams and also the marketing team. The very last interview was with the CEO, which was a bit scary at first, but it was actually really helpful to hear about the company's leadership and their vision.
