Field Service Coordinator
The interview process was quite extensive, involving over four separate interviews. Initially, there was a phone call, followed by an in-person meeting. Then, two more interviews were conducted via Zoom, and finally, another phone call. The company was very accommodating regarding my schedule and even allowed me to provide extended notice to my current role once they extended an offer.
- Would you be open to assisting in the field?
- Can you demonstrate flexibility and the ability to re-prioritize tasks on a daily basis?
Intern
So I first got an email from HR to do a phone interview. It happened about a week later with someone from the lab. HR emailed me again after that for an in person interview, which was two weeks later. The in person interview went well. I met the director, a lab technician, and the technician who would train me. I also met the other interns and got a lab tour. They said HR would contact me within the week, but I never heard back at all, so I guess I didn't get it.
- Can you tell me about your greatest strength and weakness?
- In your opinion, where do you see yourself in five years?
- Would you be okay with working with mosquitoes?
Research Associate
The interview process involved a recruiter phone screen, followed by an HR phone screen. Then there was an onsite interview with the manager and a peer. The discussion with the manager was only 30 minutes and felt rushed, but the discussion with the peer was excellent. They also gave a facility tour, but no lab tour.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What are your short term career goals?
- What are your long term career goals?
Comfort Package
First, you gotta fill out this questionnaire and a map quiz. Then, they'll ask some easy stuff about your resume, but mostly they'll just tell you about the job and see how you react to things. For this specific gig, you also had to pass a mosquito pesticide safety exam. You had to go to a review session and then take the exam at Northern University – if you pass, they'll pay for your gas.
- What would you do if a customer was unhappy with how we provided service or treatment?
