First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clarity Global.
Account Manager
So I was contacted by the HR Manager via LinkedIn about this Account Manager role. They mentioned a writing challenge, but didn't send it. Luckily, a VP reached out and sent me the challenge. I spent my weekend working on it, and then had an initial interview with that VP. It went well, so I then interviewed with the Account Director later that week. That also went well. After that, it was just silence. They ghosted me and never replied to my follow-ups. It was pretty unprofessional, especially for a PR agency. I put in time for the interview and a lot of effort on the challenge over the weekend. A quick email saying they chose someone else would have been fine.
- When you start working with a new client, what's the very first thing you do?
Intern
I talked with four different people from Clarity. We met in the conference room and had a casual chat. It was a fun experience, and it felt like they just wanted to know me better.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What kind of media do you typically engage with?
VP Communications
Had an HR screening first, then met with two people who would be my colleagues. The interviews lasted about 2 hours total and covered general topics. The interviewers, who were junior VPs, seemed to struggle when the conversation got into advanced comms planning strategy, reading from prompts for some questions. I felt they might have been intimidated by my knowledge and experience, which made me withdraw from consideration. It's usually best to hire strong candidates, even if more experienced, as they improve the team.
- Can you describe a communications plan you executed that yielded notable successes?
Account Executive
It was a 3 stage interview process. There was one case study that was very relevant to the actual job duties. The interviewers were friendly and kind. The process was smooth and I got quick responses.
