First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clarins USA.
Customer Care Coordinator
The interview process was easy and straightforward. I had two thirty minute video calls via teams; one with the talent acquisition representative, and one with the hiring manager. After spending an hour of my time in interviews for this position, and corresponding over several emails during that process, I never received a response after my final interview. It’s been over three weeks, and Clarins USA didn’t even give me the courtesy of a template email to let me know I didn’t get the position. I even followed up via email with the talent acquisition representative, and received no response. Not only is this extremely unprofessional, it’s downright rude. My time is just as valuable as yours, providing an answer to the pending ‘did I get the position’ question was the very least they could do.

CRM Coordinator
I applied for the CRM position first and went through the usual HR phone screen, then spoke with two department heads and had to do an assignment. After the assignment, I interviewed with two more people. So, I had already spoken to 5 people and spent at least 6 hours on it. I was rejected for that role but they wanted me to interview for another position. This role was a better fit, so I gave my availability. After about a week of no response and me following up, HR said I needed to do another assignment before an interview (even though I was told I'd be interviewing in person). I did the assignment, which took 2 hours and felt like free work. I expected to get my interview date after sending that in, as I was told a week prior I'd be interviewing, but nope. They rejected me a week later. The whole process took about 2 months, I was left in the dark, and communication was poor. It was exhausting.

- Can you walk me through your background?

Skincare Advisor
The interview process was pretty easy for me. Typically, it takes a few weeks because there are several interviews involved since my Clarins is located within Macys. However, they really liked me, so I ended up doing three interviews back-to-back on the same day. Then, a few days later, I got a call for the final Vendor interview and received an offer the very same day I had that interview.
- Can you tell me about your background in skincare and makeup?
- Tell me about your customer service abilities.
ECommerce Manager
The interview process involved a first round with the recruiter and a second round with the hiring manager. Both the recruiter and hiring manager were nice and welcoming. The hiring manager asked some tougher questions about my past experiences, how I'd deal with certain scenarios, and also specific questions about the website.
- Did you check out our website, and if so, do you have any feedback or suggestions?
