Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was abysmal, possibly the worst I've experienced. I dedicated over 10 hours to preparation and then spent 4 hours in meetings with four different people, including the CEO. Afterward, I was completely ghosted – no rejection email, and no response from HR when I reached out. It was incredibly unprofessional, to an extreme degree. I did find another job two weeks later, but the wasted effort still stings. I definitely wouldn't suggest considering them; they have a bad reputation and are losing customers rapidly, with only a small handful remaining.

I hit 'apply' online in early August and the whole thing wrapped up in about 2.5 weeks. Clarifai had me go through three rounds: a first phone screening, another phone interview, and then a really interesting onsite interview. Both the screening and the first phone interview were focused on behavioral questions. The onsite was a cool chance to show off how I think and how I present myself. I got to chat with people from different teams about what they do day-to-day and ask them about any tough stuff they're dealing with. One part involved a case exercise to see how I'd approach problems practically. After a couple of rounds, I had to give a mock sales pitch to some of the interviewers. The day wrapped up with lunch, which was a chill way to meet more people. Everyone I met seemed friendly and smart, and it felt like a place with good work-life balance.

Technical Coding Presentation Behavioral

Scheduled an initial recruiter call, but it never happened. After rescheduling, the recruiter mentioned they were seeking top ML Researchers and considered me a weaker candidate but agreed to interview me. I passed a technical phone interview and a coding challenge, leading to an on-site invitation. Unfortunately, the on-site was scheduled for a day the offices were closed, and I wasn't informed until shortly before. They promised to reschedule, but after a week of no contact, I had to follow up. The on-site was eventually set for a month later and included two technical interviews and a presentation. The recruiter indicated a quick decision within days, but after 10 days of silence, I had to reach out again. It felt unprofessional and frustrating, with an arrogant undertone.

It was a really bad interview experience. There were 3 rounds. When I asked for feedback, they said the director forgot to give it. When I followed up again, they gave a strange reason that leadership was busy with a board meeting. It's quite disappointing how some companies lack the courage to provide honest feedback and make candidates wait indefinitely until they find someone else. It felt like a complete waste of time. I'd advise avoiding such companies.
