Behavioral Presentation

Applied via the civil service portal, which involved filling out employment history, answering questions about strengths, and writing a personal statement. An interview was scheduled about 1-2 months later. I had to prepare slides for a specific question for the interview. The interview itself included more questions about my strengths.

It was a really friendly interview, the interviewers put me at ease. I started with a short presentation (I chose to use powerpoint) on a topic they gave me a few days before. They highlighted my strengths, which was appreciated. This was followed by a more in-depth section where they asked questions related to the core competencies outlined in the Civil Service competency framework. Finally, there was a rapid-fire round of questions asking what I would naturally do in various work situations, which was not stressful.
