Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at City of Seattle.
Intern
Got an email about a month after applying and then had a Zoom interview. They mainly went over the internship's schedule and what it would involve, and then asked some typical questions. Two people interviewed me, and I didn't actually meet one of them in person after the interview.
- Tell me about a time you faced an obstacle and how you dealt with it.
Intern
After submitting your application, expect a waiting period of about 2-3 weeks. The interview will be with the manager and the team you'd be working with. For interns, there's just one interview round. The recruiter and manager were really nice.
- Tell me about a challenge you encountered and how you dealt with it.
Internship
The processes takes about two weeks. Although I did not get an offer, the general experience is very good. The recruiting manager provided very clear instructions with some interview prep questions which were very helpful.
- What are your learning and contribution goals for this internship?
