First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at City of Portland.
Project Coordinator
So, there were 3 people on the interview, and it was done online. It was about 30 minutes total. I think they asked me around 6 to 8 questions. At the very end, they asked me for 3 references from my past work, which I could give them.
- Can you describe your previous experience?
Network Engineer
First, I had a chat with the hiring manager. Then, there was a panel interview where they asked about my behavior and some technical networking and technology stuff. They focused more on the technical side.
- Tell me about a difficult client or customer interaction. What was the situation, and how did you resolve it?
Buyer
It was a very formal board interview with 5 people, one of them not voting. They gave us the questions in advance. We talked about everything from experience to how we feel about equity policies. It was done over Microsoft Teams.
- How do you view equity in purchasing?
