Standard questions, but very general. Sometimes the questions are not related to the specific job position, but questions from a list. Felt very business like rather than feeling personable, like a conversation. It seems you have to answer them in a specific way to get them "right" which is giving examples or telling a story within the answer

I applied online and was initially told I didn't meet the qualifications, but then got put on a waitlist. A month later, I got a call for an interview, scheduled for two weeks after that. I went in for the interview at 10 am and was told they had one opening. It's at a smaller library in a neighborhood that needs it, and I'm really looking forward to the challenge and making a difference in the community, and growing in this profession.

I took an exam on April 2, and passed it with a score of 89%. Within a week of passing the exam, I got a call for an interview, and was offered the position the very next day. The interviewers were late and didn't apologize for it. I had applied for a position that paid 27,000 per year, but was offered 9.80 an hour because part-time positions were their priority. The salary was non-negotiable.

About two weeks after applying, I had a competency test. Once I got the notification that I passed, it took another six weeks to get an interview. It was a panel interview with two hiring managers and someone from HR. They asked behavioral questions and did a good job of explaining the job requirements and what they expect.

  • What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
  • Can you describe a situation where you had a disagreement with your supervisor?
