We had a recorded video interview first that lasted about an hour. Then there was an in-person interview with 5 people. The interviewers were really easy to talk to, gave good feedback during the interview, and answered questions about the position in detail.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process involved a hiring manager, an employee, and an area manager who appeared friendly and read questions from a paper. I asked about parking, and the hiring manager mentioned she parks across the street and feels safe, though she actually parks below the building. The hiring manager agreed to the contract the next day, but I still had to go through internal procedures. I was told the drug test would take 10 minutes, but it ended up being a 2-hour partial physical. Eventually, I received a letter stating the proposed work amount, which was the lowest I'd accepted in over 10 years. The whole process took about 2 weeks, and I continued because the job market is tough.

Behavioral Presentation

I had an interview with 3 people on a panel. There was one person from the department, the head of the department, and the Fair Housing Manager. It felt okay at first, but then one of them commented on my suit, which I wore because as a woman, I always dress professionally for interviews. They mentioned that many people applied, over 150, and that they narrowed it down to 23, and I was one of the 8 finalists. I gave them my referral letters at the start and they read questions from a list. I felt uncomfortable and out of place, especially because I'm an African American female and there wasn't much diversity on the panel.

The start was a bit rough, I had to wait past my scheduled time and the receptionist had to find someone to meet me. Then, there were 2 interviews with a panel of 5 people over two days. Each interview was under 30 minutes. They encouraged me to come to every interview, but the atmosphere wasn't very upbeat.
