Social Media Specialist
Heard back from the hiring manager pretty quickly after applying. The interview was on-camera using Teams. The hiring manager sent a link and started the call right on time. We started with intros, then they talked about the team's needs and what's expected in the role. The conversation went smoothly and wrapped up with the hiring manager offering me the job.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Fellow
The interview was conducted via zoom and felt pretty relaxed. It was a typical interview setup. Questions commonly asked included 'give me an example of a time when...' and other general job-related questions. The whole thing wrapped up in under 30 minutes.
- Can you share about yourself and your long-term career aspirations?
Project Manager
I found the opening on GovernmentJobs.com and sent in my application. Got an email right after saying they got it. About two weeks later, they reached out again to set up an interview for the next step.
- Could you walk me through your past work experience and explain how it aligns with the requirements of this role, specifically highlighting your analytical abilities, meticulousness, and your capacity for efficiently managing data or case-related assignments?
- Tell me about your analytical skills and how they apply to this position.
- How do you demonstrate attention to detail in your work?
Zoning Inspector
I sent in my application back in September. About a month later, the HR recruiter reached out to schedule an interview. During the interview, they asked me four questions. These questions covered how various departments within the city of Detroit work together on zoning, basic zoning concepts, and my educational background.
- Can you describe how various city departments cooperate on zoning initiatives?
- What is your ability to assist customers with zoning or permitting concerns?
