First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at City of Coral Springs.
Museum Manager
It was a very long process. I met with many different groups and often they asked the same questions. It didn't seem very efficient. I would have liked to have met with staff for a longer period of time and had the opportunity to ask them questions.
- What makes you want to work at this institution?
Manager
It was a standard in person interview with a series of behavioral and technical questions. Time was set aside at the end for me to ask questions. I got a call back for a second level interview. I was told during the second interview that they wanted to move quickly to fill the position, but I didn’t hear anything for over 2 weeks. I reached out and was told about a delay, then waited another week and a half to receive a call that I would not be offered the position.
- Can you share an instance where you disagreed with a coworker and explain how you resolved it?
Internship
I submitted an application online and a few weeks later got a call back to schedule a phone interview. I interviewed with a manager and then a director. About two weeks after the initial call back, I got an offer.
- Tell me about your experience with handling confidential information.
- Describe your experience researching specific policies.
Telecommunications
First, you apply online and then schedule for a pre-test. If you pass the pre-test, you move on to the next step and fill out this package. After that, you have an interview with the chief. Then background check and offer.
- Were you able to multitask and were you organized?
