I applied for two similar graphic designer jobs online, one with Housing and Community Development and another with the State's Attorney Office. I heard back a few months later for both. Both interviews were a bit of a surprise because the interviewers seemed so disengaged. It was a roundtable style with multiple interviewers, and when it wasn't their turn to talk, they seemed checked out - like on their phones. Questions were repeated because they weren't paying attention. When I asked them questions, I got a lot of 'Umm's and 'Uhh's, and the answers weren't clear. The State's Attorney Office interview had me waiting for an hour, and they don't validate parking. It felt like none of the six people I interviewed with really wanted to be there, which is weird considering how much effort interviewing takes.
