First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at City Internships.
Intern
It was an easy interview process, not too many questions were asked. The interviewers were really friendly and approachable, and they knew we didn't have much experience. Overall, it was a great experience.
- Can you tell me about your programming experience?
Project Manager
It was a really unconventional interview, more like a great meeting. It felt like the right place at the right time. It was basically a 'feeling' meeting between my boss and me.
- What makes you laugh in life?
Intern
So I had two interviews for an intern position. One of them was a presentation exercise where I had to talk for 20 minutes about how I'd market their programs. They then asked me so many questions about marketing ideas and stuff about their target customers. The interviews were super long, like 40-50 minutes each, and I didn't get an offer in the end. Felt like they just wanted my ideas for free, pretty annoying.
- Can you explain how to present data to aid users in making effective college choices?
- Present your marketing ideas for our programs.
- Discuss circumstances related to our target customers.
Business Development Associate
It was a 5 step interview process. First, a phone call. Second, a face-to-face meeting. Third was a group interview where they asked for free consulting on how to grow their business. After that, they met with each person individually and asked 'How do you think it went?' and 'What could you have done better?'. They emailed me a week later to say there were stronger candidates. This is a sister company to GQR Markets, so check those reviews.
- Given $250K to create a business that complements City Internships, what business would you create?
- What city would you suggest City Internships expand to?
- How do you feel the interview went?
