I applied for the Talent Acquisition Specialist role on April 29th. I got an email to interview in May, and the interview was scheduled for May 21st on Microsoft Teams. They asked me to review my resume and I asked questions about the role. I was told there would be multiple interviews and an assignment, and that they wanted to hire someone fast by the first week of June. I didn't hear back as June came around, so I followed up with an email. I never got a response or any answer to my email. It was very disappointing because I never received a decline or anything.

The hiring process took over 3 months and felt disorganized. I started with a phone screener in late July. After that, it was basically an interview followed by a panel interview every two weeks. Then I had an Excel test, which I passed. However, they chose someone with more experience and offered me a different, more administrative role. I said I was still interested, but then they made me do another interview and another panel because it was for a different department. In total, I had about 3.5 hours of interviews. It's been 3 weeks, and I still haven't heard back. Communication was mostly one-way, and I had to chase the recruiter to schedule next steps. I waited to write this hoping for an offer, but it seems like I've been ghosted by HR after putting in so much effort. Everyone I met was great and the organization's mission is amazing, but the process is messy and communication needs improvement. Streamlining the process and having HR provide faster, clearer responses to emails would be better in the future.

I interviewed with several people from the department and also HR. The whole thing was about an hour. They asked about my background and interests, and then threw this super hard 'worst case scenario' question that seemed almost impossible to answer logistically. The office seemed a bit disorganized, but everyone was really collaborative. The organization's mission is for the greater good, which I like. It's a bummer it didn't work out after starting so well. The HR manager was really nice. If you're applying, be ready for anything, from typical strength/weakness stuff to totally unexpected questions.

First, I took an hour-long exam with three parts. Then, I had an interview with HR and a senior person from the department this job is in.
