After applying online, they select about 5-10 people to interview. Then there's a Spark hire Virtual interview where you record yourself answering 5-7 questions. After that, you have an in-person interview with the direct manager and the team you'll be working with. Sometimes, if the applicant pool is really good, there might be another round of online or in-person verbal interviews with different team members.

I had a really short phone screen. The two women who called were super unprofessional, and I felt like I was more qualified than they were. It was like they had never interviewed anyone before. No hellos or anything, which was weird and set a bad tone. They introduced themselves and then immediately hit me with a big, open-ended question about how I'd market their library. Seriously? I was so put off by the unprofessional and cold interview that I just gave a short, flippant answer to their short, flippant question. After that awkward 5 minutes, they said they'd let me know. I got a rejection email within 10 minutes, which honestly, I was relieved about.

It was an easy interview. They asked me how I’d feel about picking up trash and if it’s part of the job, why would I have a problem with it? I found that funny. They offered me too low of a salary though. I would find it hard to appeal to adults with families with that kind of offer.. for that reason, I declined.

It was a pretty straightforward interview. They mostly asked questions about how well you can work with others. For example, they asked me to talk about myself and describe the kinds of people I get along with and the kinds I don't.
