The interview process was quite disappointing. I interviewed with the hiring manager who told me at the end of the interview that they wanted to move me to the next step. However, I never heard back from them, even after following up. The external recruiter I was working with mentioned that when they go silent, it usually means they decided not to proceed, which contradicted what the interviewer told me and was especially disheartening coming from such a well-regarded recruiting team.

Got contacted by a third-party recruiter about the Recruiting Coordinator job. First, I emailed answers to questions like 'Why Citadel?' or 'Why Recruiting Coordination?'. Then, after what felt like a lot of pointless back-and-forth, I had an interview with the company recruiter. After that, they wanted me to do a case study and review it with the recruiter. I got good feedback on the case study. Three days later, they told me I wasn't moving forward and wouldn't give any feedback because of 'confidentiality'. I suspect they just wanted free work from the case study.

First, there was a headhunter screen, then a 1-hour call with the hiring manager, followed by a 5-hour on-site. I got good vibes during the on-site, but then things got a bit hazy and there was silence for about three weeks. I had to chase the headhunter for an update and I think they ended up going with someone more experienced. The on-site itself was really top-notch and super professional, but the communication and follow-up afterwards were a bit of a letdown. Oh well, can't be too bummed as recruiting can be like this everywhere.
