Product Intern
We kicked off with a recruiter call to go over my background and see if I was into product and analytics. Then, there was a behavioral interview where I talked about past projects, especially stuff related to data, AI, and business impact. The last part was more technical and product-stuff focused, where they wanted me to think about use cases, how to solve problems, and how I'd work with different teams. It felt pretty structured and like a chat, checking for both tech skills and product sense.
- Can you share an instance where you leveraged data to influence a product or business outcome?
UI/UX Designer
I had this UI/UX interview, but it was a total letdown, made me really question if they knew what they were doing. The interviewer seemed totally unprepared and uninterested from the get-go, like he just woke up. It put me off immediately and made me doubt if they even cared about the interview. Even worse, they recorded the call without even asking me, which is super unprofessional. No intro, no explaining the job or what to expect, just 'introduce yourself.' When I started talking about my background, he cut me off twice, making it hard to get back on track. Then came the case study presentation, and it didn't get better. He interrupted again with random, off-topic questions that threw me off. Some questions were okay, but the timing was bad, and it messed up my flow. He even asked for a second case study before I finished the first. I showed him another, even though I was confused. The interruptions kept happening, some good questions but could have waited. I didn't get to properly explain my work. Just as I was getting into the second project, he asked if I had another one. It was only 30 minutes, how many projects did he expect me to rush through? At the end, he asked if I had questions, and I just said no. I was over it. The constant interruptions, lack of structure, and basic disrespect told me everything I needed to know. What should have been a professional chat felt rushed and careless, like my time meant nothing. Even if they offered a second round, I wouldn't have taken it. When someone representing a company can't be respectful in an interview, it shows their culture, and that's not a place for me.
- Can you describe your complete UI/UX design process from start to finish for a project?
- What is your end-to-end UI/UX design process for a project?
Software Engineer Intern
So, to get the job, you gotta get through 3 steps. First, there's a test with some logic and coding stuff. Then, you have a technical interview where you gotta show off what you know and how you solve problems. Lastly, there's a manager interview to see if you'll vibe with the team and help with what they're trying to do.
- Can you explain Big(O) notation and its significance? Also, what's the time complexity for quicksort in its best, average, and worst-case scenarios?
- Describe how you'd approach the water jug problem using 3-liter and 5-liter jugs to obtain exactly 4 liters.
- Please write a recursive function to calculate the nth Fibonacci number.
Test Architect
The interview process included Technical, Managerial, and HR rounds. The technical interview focused on real-world scenarios. The managerial interview assessed team fit, growth contribution, and also included real-world situational questions like stress handling, risk-taking, and adaptability to new roles. They also emphasized considering your goals throughout. The HR rounds were refreshing, feeling like a conversation with an acquaintance, although the content was similar to other companies. The entire process was quick, concluding within a week from the first interview to the offer.
- What are your 5-year goals for your technical and managerial skills?
- Do you prefer working on individual tasks or team tasks?
- How adaptable are you to being switched out of your current role?
