First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Circles.
Software Engineer
I had an interview for an Associate Software Engineer position. It mainly focused on my past experiences and fundamental knowledge. They asked questions about the theories and concepts I used in my past projects, and then built up the interview questions from there. The interview lasted about 45 minutes and they managed to cover pretty much everything.
- Could you tell me about the annotations you utilized in your Spring Boot project?
Service Professional
I applied online for the Service Professional role at Circles. They posted it everywhere, so I bet they got a lot of applicants. First, I had a 20-minute phone chat with someone from their Boston office. They asked me about times I dealt with customers and handled feedback, typical behavior questions. Then, they sent me links for online tests. One was a mock call centre simulation, and the other was a situational judgment test where you choose the best and worst responses. The next week, I went to their office for the interview. I used Google to answer about 20 questions and then did a practice call with a "customer" with the person who was testing me. She was not very friendly. It seems like my answers from all these steps are sent to people who didn't meet me. Your personality or how you dress doesn't matter; it's all about the caller's experience. They didn't ask about strengths, weaknesses, or future goals. It wasn't really an interview, just phone questions about behavior and then call centre testing.
- Can you tell me where the 37th powwow or native dance competition was held?
Customer Care Professional
I got contacted twice for scheduling an interview. After those two calls, I finally met with an HR person. The HR rep was nice but didn't give much clear info about the job, saying she couldn't share details due to privacy. She asked a lot about my computer skills, how I use them, and my speed. Then, I had to do a mock call to handle a customer service request, similar to daily tasks. It wasn't hard. The whole interview was casual and comfy, but it really lacked important job details.
- What would you do if a customer was upset because another employee messed up their request?
Concierge Professional
I interviewed with three people on-site: Rob from HR, Liz the On-Site Manager, and Wouter the General Manager. They were all really nice and professional, making sure I felt comfortable. The interviews were relaxed, and they focused on my customer service experience. I felt good about it and they called later that day with a great offer, which I accepted. Rob from HR was especially enthusiastic, saying he thought I'd be a great fit.
- Can you tell me about your experience in customer service?
