It was a few rounds of technical and panel interviews, talked with some senior engineering leaders too. They tested both practical and theoretical knowledge. It felt pretty collaborative, with hands-on programming, whiteboarding, and talking through trade-offs. The interviewers seemed supportive and answered questions about the role and company.

The hiring process at CINC lasted about a month. It started with a phone screen, then a virtual interview. Both were pretty chill and professional. But, the last interview, the in-person one with the big bosses, was a bit different. I mentioned I was planning to move, and they just assumed it was for this job, which made things weird and a little tense right away. They also questioned me about why we did in-person interviews at my old job, even though they do the same thing for their final interviews. It felt a bit like a contradiction. After putting in a lot of time and getting ready, I just got a standard rejection email with no explanation. It felt impersonal and left a bad final impression.

The interview process at CINC lasted about a month. It kicked off with a phone screen and then a virtual interview. Both of those felt pretty good, like friendly chats. But, the last interview, the in-person one with the big bosses, totally changed. I brought up a move I had already planned, and they jumped to the conclusion I was doing it because of the job, which made things awkward and kinda negative right away. They also questioned me about why my old job did in-person interviews, even though CINC does it too for the last stage. That felt kinda weird. After putting in a lot of time and effort getting ready, I just got a standard rejection email with no explanation, which felt pretty impersonal and wasn't a great way to end things.
