So they contacted my current employer without telling me, which was super unprofessional. They said this whole thing would take about a month, but I didn't get an offer until like 4 months later. It felt like every time we were done, they'd just set up another round with someone who was clearly not prepared or interested. I also heard from others that the work-life balance there is pretty bad, like a sweatshop. The company's not doing great financially either, so I just passed.

The interview process was great until I got to the last interview with the regional manager. Recruiting did a phonescreening and I was sent to a corporate office for an in-person interview. There was a hiccup with security but that was quickly resolved, my in-person meeting with the property manager went well. When I had my interview with the regional manager things went downhill. I had a scheduled video interview where nobody joined the call for 10 min. After 10 min somebody from the central team joined the call and rescheduled. I felt disrespected during my rescheduled interview because the regional manager did not turn on his camera and I had a video interview with his blank screen. I did not receive a rejection email or any communication after my interview. Property manager and recruiting team are fantastic.

The interview process starts with about an hour-long phone interview where they'll explain the position and current real estate transactions. You'll need to talk about your experience. Then, there's an in-person interview that lasts about 2 hours. The first part is with both department leads who will ask technical questions to check your accounting knowledge. They'll also ask about your work history and experience. They seem nice but are very specific. Make sure your experience matches what the leads are looking for. I got called back for an interview with the Director who felt I had good experience, but the other two leads wanted someone with a different skillset. Asking about this early on will save you time.
