The interview process was easy, with standard questions. They asked if I was okay with cleaning bathrooms and what makes me different from others. I asked the interviewer more questions after he asked me.

Applied online and had a recruiter call. Then talked with the VP and PM about the project. A Predictive Index test is part of the process, which is pretty easy but taking practice tests can help. For the test, keep a fraction to decimal cheat-sheet and ChatGPT handy for word problems. A stop-watch ticking every 12 seconds might help with timing. Not sure they knew what they wanted, as the role requirements were being rethought, delaying interviews by 2 weeks. The PM seemed nice but maybe intimidated by someone with more experience. Got ghosted.

I first talked to a recruiter. Then I had a phone interview with the head of the art department, which went really well. After that, they gave me a design assignment: create six layouts for their print catalog and an ad for their main website. I sent it in, and they said the recruiter would get back to me in a week, but I never heard back from anyone. Honestly, if you're going to make people do that much work for an interview, the least you could do is follow up. If this is how CI usually communicates, I'd say steer clear.

First up was a phone chat with HR about the company's past, the job details, and pay and benefits. Then, I had a phone chat with the Hiring Manager to review my past work and abilities. Lastly, there was a face-to-face meeting with the Hiring Manager and VP to really dig into how ready I am for this job.
