First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cicatelli Associates.
Project Coordinator
I went through three rounds of interviews, talking with different teams and even the CEO. All of these were group interviews conducted over Zoom, where I met various people from the team. The interviews mostly focused on standard questions, covering my education, work history, and in-depth discussions about skills important for the position. They also asked about my future aspirations and my interest in public health. Unfortunately, after these three interviews and sending a follow-up email, I never heard back, which was disappointing, especially given the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic potentially impacting response times.
- Why do you think you're a suitable candidate for this position?
Support Associate
The HR and hiring managers are great. It can be a bit overwhelming since you might meet multiple people at once. Have your own questions ready about what they expect, and don't hesitate to ask about the previous person in this role. It's a good chance to be upfront about your own expectations and what you're seeking in a job.
- Are you open to travel?
Research
I got an email reaching out for an interview. It was just one interview with my future boss and the director. They offered me the job right after.
- Do you know about the recent city-wide research on adding calorie info to menus?
Deputy Director
I had a phone interview with two senior staff members and the project director. Then, I did an in-person interview with one of those same senior staff and the project director, after which I had to submit a writing sample.
- What would be your contributions to the field?
