First, I had a phone interview where they asked me standard questions about why I wanted to work in the intelligence community. After taking IQ and personality tests, I was brought in for an in-person interview, which primarily were behavioral questions, nothing technical.

After applying, I got an invite two weeks later for an online assessment and essays. It had logic games, like visualizing a 3D shape from a 2D net, and a psychometric test. Then, after a few more weeks, they invited me for an in-person interview in DC. They asked for more essays before the visit. I had to book everything myself, and the per diem gift card wasn't enough to cover standard hotel rates, so I had to book a cheap hotel. At the interview, we were put into groups of 4-5 for a 30-minute presentation about the agency. Then, a 15-minute group info session about the role with a division higher-up. Lastly, a 2-person panel interview with about 6-7 behavioral questions, focusing on people management and 'fit', not technical skills. They didn't ask any technical questions. After that, we went home. I guess they let you know after that. I got an email a week later saying I didn't get the job. It's wild they fly you out for only 45 min-1 hour of interviews. I thought my answers were good and addressed government challenges like people and bureaucracy. But maybe my private sector background made me a bad fit.

I applied online and after a couple weeks, I got an email asking for more materials and to do some online testing, which included a case study, behavioral questions, and a logic test. About two months after that, I got an email for a phone interview with an analyst. They told me I'd hear back within a month either way. The interview was mostly about fit, and I was rejected about a week later.
