The questions focused on my background, interest in the role, and behavioral scenarios, with some discussion around relevant skills and experiences. Communication throughout the process was clear, though the timeline was longer than initially expected. It took some time to hear back, and I had to reach out after two weeks when I didn't hear anything.

I applied and did a HireVue interview. Then I spoke with a recruiter who said they'd message me back with next steps. They asked easy questions about my experience and what I did at my previous job and knew about claims. They totally ghosted me after saying they want me for another interview, and I've been waiting for about 2 months. To take up someone's time and then ghost them, that to me was extremely unprofessional.

The interview process was good and smooth. The interviewer was friendly and not strict, and didn't ask difficult theory questions. Most questions were about project findings. I'd say it was quite easy and the people were very relaxed. Maybe one could learn and study theory questions in actuarial science, like reserve, takaful, conventional, etc.

The interview process had three rounds, kicking off in June with an HR phone screen. This was followed by an in-person interview at the T.O. HQ on Bay Street with two HR reps. Then, there was an in-person panel interview with the hiring UW manager and the AVP of Major Global Accounts, also at the Toronto HQ. This was followed by a 20-minute case study testing technical underwriting skills on a real submission involving long haul auto with cat losses, new business with an alpha broker, and how to write it without a nuclear cat loss. Finally, there was a half-hour with the divisional VP. The rounds occurred in mid-July. In late August, after three email follow-ups requesting an update, the HR Biz partner, J.S., responded saying it was a very competitive process and they had found an internal candidate, wishing luck for future opportunities with Chubb.
