First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CHU Sainte-Justine.
Data Scientist
The HR experience was terrible and unprofessional. They offered a salary way below the industry standard. When I brought this up and mentioned I'd be leaving my current job for a similar salary, they gave me an ultimatum: show them a pay stub as proof, or I wouldn't be considered. I think this was illegal, but they were careful not to put it in writing, only saying it over the phone when I asked for an official email request. I still feel like there was some discrimination.
- Are you experienced with Python?
- Do you have Cloud experience?
Administrative Assistant
It was a selection committee interview with the director, their assistant director, and an HR advisor. It lasted about 45 minutes to an hour. There was a lot of discussion and situational exercises. I had to describe my CV and go into detail about my past work experiences.
- What are your strengths, weaknesses, and quality defects?
- Why are you interested in joining our organization?
- What specifically drew you to this job posting?
Registered Nurse
The interview process was really professional, respectful, and friendly. They asked good, relevant questions. I felt comfortable and was impressed with the interview process and how the human resources staffing was done. It was nice interviewing with them. There were a few steps, but it all happened pretty fast. I'd say the interview was a bit tougher than average, but not really hard.
- Questions about calculating medication dosages were included.
Maintenance and Service Attendant
It was a group interview where everyone was asked questions. We were given role-playing scenarios to respond to one by one. They asked about our availability, why we chose Sainte-Justine, and our values. It was a good interview because everyone shared their answers, and we could build on others' responses by sharing our perspectives. This was my first time in this type of interview.
- What would you do if a child was lingering in the hallway asking for a glass of water?
