The interview process was really smooth. Recruiters kept me updated at every stage, responding within hours or a couple of days after my interviews. The interviews were enjoyable, with most questions being solved collaboratively, and we had good discussions about my background and Chronicle's products. I found this interview process much clearer, faster, friendlier, and better than my experience interviewing at Google (where I got an offer in 2015). I only turned down Chronicle's offer because I happened to get amazing growth in my current role during the interview period.

I was contacted by a sourcer and had two calls with them. The first call was really good, the sourcer was informative and engaging. However, on a follow-up call, their attitude was totally different. They were abrupt and seemed rushed, like they just wanted to get off the phone. They didn't seem interested in anything I had to say. They said they'd let me know about next steps, but I never heard back. As a recruiter, you know candidate experience is super important, even if someone isn't a fit. A good experience leaves rejected candidates with a good impression and feeling like their time was valued. That wasn't the case here.

The whole thing took about 2 months, and everyone was super helpful. They really tried to find a good balance between technical skills and whether you'd fit in with the team. I started with a phone call with HR, then had a technical onsite interview since I'm local. The last part was a half-day visit where I met with people and answered a mix of technical and soft skills questions.

I was very impressed with Chronicle's recruiting process. They are extremely responsive and proactive in following up. My first interview was a 30-minute Google Hangout with the hiring manager. An in person meeting was scheduled for 1 week laster that lasted 4-hours and had me meet with 4 different team members.
