First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Christman Company.
Cost Estimator
The interview was fast and easy. Mostly questions about the job. Got a call the next day with an offer. Then I had to fill out some paperwork, like a background check and W2, plus common job applications.
- Are you willing to travel?
Talent Management Specialist
Everyone I spoke with was pleasant and the two interviews seemed to go well, except that even though we met and talked for over an hour - they did not even reach out to tell me I’d been rejected. After an in-person interview, they couldn’t be bothered to follow up? I find that abhorrent and extremely unprofessional for a company of this size. I followed up twice myself and received no response. There is no excuse for this kind of unprofessionalism in HR, but at least it made it clear that this isn’t a company I want to consider.
- What motivates you to want to be a part of this company?
Human Resource Manager
It was a three stage interview process. First, a phone screening with the Director of HR. Second, an in-person interview with the Director of HR, Sr. HR Manager, and SVP, which lasted 2 hours. Third, an in-person interview with an operations leadership team on a different day, lasting 1.5 hours. Overall, it was a great experience learning about The Christman Company. It was a long interview process in terms of time spent meeting with different teams. I was offered the role but declined due to the base salary being too low.
- What strategies could you employ to improve employee retention?
- Describe a situation where you faced an ethically questionable request and how you handled it.
Assistant Engineer
The company uses a two-step interview process that's known for being welcoming, productive, and helpful. They'll assist you in figuring out your desired career path, even if it's not a direct fit for them. The team is professional and will help you understand the compensation and benefits packages.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
