Health Information Technician
I applied for a Health Information Technician role, and after a few weeks, I had a recruiter phone interview. It was a bit long but okay. I was told I'd hear from the hiring manager that week, but I didn't. A month later, the recruiter emailed asking about my availability for an interview with the hiring manager. I gave my availability, and then three weeks passed and I still haven't heard back. This place is always hiring because they are disorganized and have poor communication.
- Have you worked in a medical office before?
Patient Service Representative
It was a long, tedious interview process, but not difficult. I had an in-person interview with employees from different departments. Then, I had to job shadow for 3 hours, which involved me just sitting there watching employees take phone calls. I thought this was a bit much for a receptionist position. In general, the interviews were easy and everyone was very friendly, with a conversational tone. The shadowing was the only part I didn't really like.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
- Do you have any basic background questions for us?
Physical Therapist Assistant
I applied online on their website. They called me for a preliminary interview at their HR building. I was able to schedule an interview for the next week in the morning. The preliminary interview was short, and my application was sent on for a second interview.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and the skills you would contribute to our team?
- What is your motivation for wanting to work at Christie Clinic?
- What potential challenges do you foresee in this role?
Nurse
The interview began professionally with HR, but the in-person interview wasn't professional at all. The interviewer seemed unprepared; she hadn't reviewed my resume or background and didn't have any notes or printed materials.
- Are you a licensed RN?
