It was a very professional interview process. There were about 4 interviews, starting with a recruiter and ending with department managers. They were really thorough in explaining the job expectations and what a typical day looks like. They also talked about the training provided and what the next steps in the process would be.

Had a screener interview first, then an in-person. The screener was really about faith and how religious I was. The actual interview was less about faith and more about the role. Two people were there, one was the hiring manager and asked all the questions. The other just sat there the whole time. It felt like a normal interview, but from what I could tell, they really work their staff hard. Long hours for average pay. Then they ghosted me. After the in-person, it was over two months of dead silence.

I had an initial phone call with a recruiter, followed by another phone interview with the hiring manager. The final round was an in-person interview with the department director. The in-person part was really smooth - the front desk knew I was coming, the director was punctual, and since the hiring manager was remote, they had a conference room set up with him dialed in. The tech worked fine, and the interview started and finished on time.

The interview process was great, everyone was really friendly. The prayer part was unexpected but okay. I think my expectations were a bit off; I was anticipating more questions about PC repair and customer service, though there were a few. I mentioned my limited experience with Active Directory, which I've used and set up a few times. Honestly, I might have oversold it because I had a really strong interview right before, and I might have been a bit too confident. That's on me if so. He asked me about my Active Directory knowledge, and I didn't perform as well as I hoped. While I could demonstrate tasks, I wasn't prepared to describe them and recall specific terms. I thought Active Directory was a secondary skill and not essential for the role. If it is essential, then I'm probably not the best fit, and that's alright. I clearly misunderstood the job, thinking it was mainly repair and customer service focused. I haven't been rejected yet, but I'd be surprised to get an offer. I'll update this if anything changes. Overall, they seem like good people with good intentions, but my own expectations might have been misaligned.
