First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chowbus.
Social Media Specialist
There were 3 rounds total. All interviews were quick and straightforward, not too many questions. They moved forward pretty quickly, overall it was a smooth experience. Most questions were about past relevant experiences.
- Can you tell me about your experience with content creation?
Software Engineer
My interview process with Chowbus started with a recruiter call to discuss my background and if I was interested in the role. After that, I had a formal interview where they asked me about my skills, experiences, and if I was a good fit for the job. I didn't hear back after that.
- Could you tell me about a recent project you were involved in?
Communications Specialist
It was a pretty normal interview process. The HR person asked me about my education and past jobs. The questions were mostly about social media and marketing stuff, and she needed details. She also asked about my start date. I had two rounds of interviews, but then they just stopped responding.
- Tell me about your previous experience managing social media marketing campaigns and give me some specific examples.
- Could you elaborate on specific instances of your past experience with social media marketing campaigns?
Digital Marketing Specialist
The interview process with Chowbus was a bit unusual. It started with a phone screen, followed by a video call with the hiring manager, then an assignment, and finally an interview with the director. The final interview was a surprise; it was a video call where only my camera was on, and I had to present my assignment, which I thought they had already reviewed. The director was a bit late and was answering 'emergency' messages during the call. Despite the awkwardness, the main issue was the lack of communication afterward. I didn't hear back, and after two weeks of no response to my follow-ups, I was eventually told they weren't moving forward, without a specific reason. It would be better to be upfront about the reasons for not selecting a candidate. This whole experience makes me wonder about the internal operations of the company, and I'm glad I'm looking elsewhere.
- Which marketing channel do you prefer and explain your reasoning?
- What metrics do you use to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives?
