The interview was conducted via 'good meets'. I found the HR representative to be rather generic, controlling, and belittling. She frequently interrupted my responses and seemed to be trying to get me to say something that would disqualify me. This interaction suggested to me that the company's workplace culture is poor and morale is low. Following that, I spoke with a construction manager who was very nice and professional. Ultimately, I never received any communication regarding the status of my application.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Applied online and got a phone interview pretty fast. Then, I had an in-person meeting with the VP of Marketing, which went well. After two weeks, they asked me back to meet with upper management for a full day of meetings with different team members, and I even had to return later that day for more meetings. HR said they'd let me know their decision in two weeks. When I followed up after two weeks, they told me I'd hear from them mid-week in another two weeks. Even though communication with HR was tough, I was still really excited about the company. After I didn't hear back in the specified week, I followed up again and was ghosted, never getting any info on why I didn't get the job or if they chose someone else. It's super disappointing how this whole process went down and it's made me see the company differently. I feel like after all the time I put in and such a long interview process, I deserved the courtesy of at least an email saying I wasn't selected.

I submitted my application on their website and then got a call from the hiring manager. We had a quick phone interview, and then he wanted me to meet him at one of their restaurants for an interview. He asked me what I knew about the company and if I had ever ordered from them. That was my first interview with him. After that, he set up a meeting for me to meet with a District Manager at another location to do the RJE, and then I interviewed with the VP of HR.

I brought my resume and application to the Chopt location in person. I spoke with the manager on duty, and she said she would call me if they wanted to move forward. I got a call that same evening asking me to come in for an interview sometime that week. I went in and met with two managers. They asked mostly personality and interest-based questions, not much about the company or the job itself. It wasn't too difficult. They hired me right then and there and I completed all the hiring paperwork.
