First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ChoiceLocal.
Digital Marketing Account Executive
The application process at ChoiceLocal was straightforward, pleasant, and welcoming. Even though I wasn't offered the job, I'd definitely consider applying again if a suitable role opens up.
- Why were you interested in our company?
Team Engagement Lead
There are up to 2 interviews. First, a phone screen with HR, then a Zoom panel with the original interviewer and the hiring manager.
- What animal would you be and why?
Digital Marketing Specialist
It was a two-part interview process. First, a call with the hiring person. Then, a Zoom interview with the hiring person, an account executive, and a senior person. Both interviews covered the same questions, so have multiple answers ready. Everyone was really nice and professional during the interviews. The only bummer was after the interviews. They said I'd hear back by a certain date, either way. But I never heard anything, not even after following up on our email thread. They said they didn't want to be a company that ghosts candidates, and then they did just that.
- Can you share an instance where you received feedback? Describe the feedback and how you responded to it.
Digital Marketing Specialist
I had two calls. The first was just with the recruiter. The second call was with the recruiter and two people from the team I'd be joining. They told me I'd get a response regardless of the outcome. The hiring manager really emphasized how they felt it was wrong when companies ghost candidates. But, sadly, I never heard back either way.
- If you could be an animal, which one would you choose and what's the reason behind it?
