First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at China Development Bank.
Corporate Banking Manager
The initial step was an online assessment. Following that, there was an in-person interview which was actually an assessment center. This involved a group discussion with 8 other applicants, an English reading comprehension and oral expression test, and a 1-to-n interview focusing on my previous work history. The entire site interview, including wait times, lasted over three hours.
- Can you tell me about a past job you held?
- What are your thoughts on the industry in mainland China?
Risk Management Analyst
I applied online in November for a full-time Risk Management Analyst role at the Beijing headquarters. After my resume was screened, I got an email about a month later inviting me to take an on-site test in Beijing. The test was four hours long and covered verbal, writing, and logical reasoning. It wasn't too hard, but it was very competitive. A week after that, I received an invitation for interviews, and then I went through three rounds of interviews.
- What is your course of action when an unavoidable error occurs?
Management Trainee
It was a 2 part interview process. First, a 1-on-1 interview where they asked behavioral questions that weren't too hard. It seemed like my CV mattered more, and they asked about where I graduated, but weren't very interested in my internship. Second, there was a group interview with easy questions.
- Tell me about your background and education.
- What did you study and where did you graduate from?
- What experiences did you gain from your internships?
Intern
Had a semi-structured interview with multiple leaders. The internship sounds really interesting. The content is strictly confidential and they were well-informed. I gained experience with a lot of companies.
- What is the internship content? It's strictly confidential and well-informed. I have experience with a lot of companies.
