First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chileda Institute.
Direct Support Professional
The interview was quick and to the point. They answered a lot of my questions and explained the job in more detail. It was mostly situational questions, asking how I would react to a particular situation.
- How would you assist a student experiencing a crisis with physical outbursts?
Behavior Technician
The interview process was pretty easy. The job doesn’t require much past experience. Show that you are passionate about the populations that the company serves and that you are willing to learn new ways of life.
- How would you handle a conflict between two clients?
Program Assistant
The interview process is pretty straight forward. You'll have just one interview with one or two people. Usually a Supervisor and then someone from the back office. Pretty general questions about your strengths, qualities, and dependability. I was told within two days of the interview that I received the job. They are always hiring as this job is not for everyone.
- What makes you want to work at Chileda?
Direct Support Professional
It was actually quite informal at first. They asked me questions about why I wanted to work at Chileda and gave me a tour of the school to see the children. It was quite friendly and a positive experience.
- How much do you know about the children at Chileda?
- What is your knowledge about the psychology of the children and what are their mental health disorders?
