First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Children's of Alabama.
Marketing Assistant
The first step was a 30 minute phone interview with a recruiter where they asked some basic background questions. It took a couple of weeks to hear back after that initial phone interview.
- Why are you interested in this position?
Social Services Care Specialist
The interview process was very rude, unprofessional, and unorganized. They called me by the wrong name and never left messages. They called twice and hung up, and I had to ask what they were calling about after looking up their number. They wanted to schedule an interview within two days with absolutely no flexibility. I decided to withdraw my application because it made me question how organized the department was. They also refused to disclose the salary for the position.
- Tell me about past scenarios in your career.
- What actions have you taken in your career in response to specific situations?
Patient Registration Representative
I talked with the Patient Registration Manager and her Team Lead for about 15-20 minutes. They asked me what I thought I'd be doing in this position and a few 'name a time' questions. I applied on 3/12, interviewed on 3/15, and got my offer call on 3/16. I'm still waiting on my drug screening and background check results, and then I should hear about starting training. Excited for this new journey at Children's!!
- What are your thoughts on what this Patient Registration role entails?
- Can you provide an example of a time when...?
- What interests you about working in Patient Registration?
Office Assistant
The initial interviews were well structured and didn't bring up any concerns about discrimination. They got back to me in just a couple of days. The first interview was in person, and then they called me on the phone for a follow-up. If all goes well, I'll have an orientation after accepting the offer.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated ethical decision-making at work?
