The whole process took a while from applying. I had to do three online IQ and ability tests first. It took about 6 weeks to get an interview. The in-person interview was pretty standard. The manager and an HR person were there. They offered me the job right after. Then I didn't hear anything from HR for another 4 weeks. Finally, they called me in to sign the rest of the paperwork and do a drug test.

It started with a phone chat with HR, then I met the manager, and after that, I met the team. I was also able to shadow which was cool and I hadnt done that in ages. It was a bit of a surprise given the patient records, I hadnt signed anything yet. But it was good to see the actual work environment and the systems. Got the offer the day after meeting the manager and team. Had to do a physical on-site at employee health, including tb testing.

I had to come in for an interview, do a phone interview, and pass a drug AND NICOTINE screening. Yes, if you have nicotine in your system you won't be hired at CHMC. It would be one thing being a smoke-free environment and not allowing employees to smoke while they're at work, but what they're doing on their own time is their time, and I believe completely wrong to discriminate against someone because they smoke cigarettes.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process seemed to be in flux due to some changes happening on the unit. After the interview, there wasn't much communication, and the interviewer didn't seem very professional. It was a Zoom interview where the interviewer avoided eye contact and just rapid-fired questions, making it feel less like a conversation.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Tell me about a time you had to deal with conflict in the workplace.
