This interview process is really long and drags on. They ask a bunch of behavioral questions, and honestly, a lot of them felt like the same thing asked in different ways. I think they should rethink how they do things. You're left in the dark about what's next, and sometimes the hiring manager reaches out, other times it's HR. What really bothered me is the extensive background check they want you to do BEFORE they even give you a conditional offer or explain it fully. I went through three interviews and then got a call from HR. They sent me a packet to start the background check. Normally I'd be fine with this, but there's just so little communication. The background check involves submitting lots of documents, getting fingerprinted, and a drug test. Doing all that takes a ton of time. It's not fair to expect that from someone when you're both still figuring out if it's a good fit. I get why they need to check everything, but I wish they'd be more upfront and give a conditional offer like most companies do. Because of this, I decided not to continue.

I sent in my application online and got a response about 3 weeks later. I had a phone call with a supervisor to arrange the interview; she was really nice and asked me some questions while also answering mine. Then, I had an interview with two supervisors who were both super nice and really open about everything. I asked about what was next, and they mentioned they were still interviewing others and would let me know. I tried calling back after two weeks, but no one picked up. It would have been great if they had called either way to update me, so I wouldn't be left waiting.

So after applying, the program manager reached out to me. We had a general phone interview. Then, she asked me to come in for an interview at the agency. I met with the program manager and one of the supervisors there. It was a very professional and straightforward interview. They asked situational questions, similar to what was on the application. So, be ready with examples or stories, but make sure you answer the question asked.

I sent in my application online to CHS back in December, and just two days later, I got a call for an interview. After the interview, the supervisor mentioned HR would contact me within two weeks about the job offer. Because it was the holiday season, things moved a bit slower than usual. I eventually received an email about a month later stating I wasn't selected. It was a panel interview where they asked about behavioral situations.
