So I had two interviews, each about an hour. The first was with the HR Specialist who is currently in the role and someone from payroll. It was a group interview with another candidate. They used scripted questions, and we could go into as much detail as we wanted. We were also encouraged to ask questions about the company, and they really wanted us to have done our research. Then I had a second interview with another HR person and the CFO. The CFO was really open about the job, which was nice, but he was also a bit pushy. The company has had a lot of turnover in this role, and I think he thought I wouldn't stay long based on my background. Since it's an entry-level job, they were more focused on how well someone could handle stress than their experience. After that, I had to do a quick Excel test. I got a generic email saying they hired someone else, but that was only after I followed up a week later. Looking back, though, with that turnover rate, I think I dodged a bullet.

I spoke with the director of all children's services and the department supervisor. It felt more like a casual chat than a formal Q&A. The questions were relevant to the field, and they acknowledged how my experience in other areas, along with my training and education, were applicable.

There were two interviews, one with HR and then a second with the CEO and supervisor. I also toured the facility and met some of the staff. The second interview included the CEO because the supervisor was new, and they had hired two managers before me.

The interviewers were super nice and made me feel comfortable. They asked some standard interview questions and also some situational ones. I did the interview over video, which was a bit tricky, but all in all, it was a really good experience.
