First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chicken of the Sea.
Supply Chain Manager
It was a two-step process. First, a phone screen, then an in-person interview. The in-person meeting included the hiring manager, the HR manager, and the VP (my next level up manager). They kept me in the loop about what was going on throughout the process. Just a heads up, getting to the office can be a bit tricky if you're not familiar with the LA area.
- Can you share your experience working with suppliers based internationally?
- What's your background in providing international oversight when a company owns the operations?
- How have you handled flexibility for remote employees in past roles?
Legal Assistant
The legal staffing agency reached out about a Legal Assistant role at Chicken of the Sea. I was interested and they set up an interview for the following week. I first met with an HR representative and then the Legal Coordinator. The HR person was great, very professional, and explained everything about the job and what to expect. That interview lasted about 15 minutes. After that, I spoke with the Legal Coordinator for about 30 minutes. The questions mainly focused on my past legal work experience, my reasons for seeking a new job, and my skills. They kept the questions direct and avoided generic ones like 'What are your weaknesses?'. The agency called the next day with a job offer.
- How much experience do you have with trademarks?
Sales Coordinator
The interview process took about two weeks. Kevin from HR was great with communication and explaining the next steps. I first met the two VPs via Microsoft Teams. They were both nice and eager to talk. Then, I met with two sales team members to learn about their day-to-day and answer straightforward questions. Finally, I was offered the position. The company values are Responsible, Collaborative, Passionate, Humble, Innovative, and Respectful, and all employees seem to embody them. The onboarding and training have been flawless, and I feel valued and supported.
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a coworker and how you resolved it.
Category Development Manager
The hiring manager contacted me on LinkedIn after I applied. We scheduled phone interviews over 3 weeks where I talked with the hiring manager and 3 of his team members. They were all punctual and professional. However, after several weeks without hearing from the HR manager, I assumed I was not selected, especially since the role was reposted a few times. If I had received final feedback, I would have considered the process a positive one.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Describe the process for a top-notch category review.
- Share an instance of when you...?
