Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chicago.
Intern
The interview had at least 10 questions that were pretty standard, like the ones you find online, but some were specific to the role. They also asked me to talk about how my school classes fit with what the job needs.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
Intern
The process was really fast, I interviewed with the ward I was working with directly. But once you're in the hiring process, there is a lot of background checks, fingerprints, going to city hall directly.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
Intern
I was found through my college career center's job/internship board. We reviewed my writing sample and talked about my past job/volunteer experience and my senior thesis background.
- Can you explain your qualifications for this role?
